This past Friday The National Arts Club hosted the first ever Dandy Talk in NYC. With quite the Dandy panel of speakers including Photographer Rose Callahan of Dandy Portraits, Matt Fox from Fine & Dandy Shop, Thomas Farley of Mr. Manners and Nathaniel Adams of Against Nature Atelier, the night also featured a jazzy musical performance from Dandy Wellington and his Band after the discussion concluded. It looked like a stellar event with attendees from all over showing up looking their Dandy best.
The panel explored the various nuances of the Dandy culture, including the history of Dandyism, what has led to it’s current popularity, and where they see the Dandy culture heading. Fellow Blogger Mr Jeffers from A Fine Young Gentleman was also in attendance and recorded part of the discussion which can be listened to below. Looks like there may be something to this whole “Dandy” thing after all… But we already knew that, didn’t we?
