In a for certain “God the Wife is going to kill me” moment, I purchased this vintage Pendleton Overcoat at the AMVETS this evening. I’ve been looking for a longer overcoat for wearing over my sport jackets, and after being inspired by one of my new favorite tumblrs Broke and Bespoke, I thought I’d try my luck at the thrift shops. One of the biggest problems with second hand shops in Buffalo is you can have a difficult time finding anything that isn’t an x-large. At a 40, the coat fit surprisingly well and ever since our recent trip to O’Connell’s, I’ve been slightly obsessed with fur-collar overcoats. Certainly not for everyday use, but a very Dandy coat indeed.

Overall I was pretty happy with my purchase… especially since it was only $10 (which subsequently trumped my fear of the Wife’s wrath). It was snowing ever so slightly when I got home, so I snapped a couple of quick shots in the backyard for show. Click below for some detailed shots.

Beardski Mask

Celebrate Shaun White’s incredible Perfect 100 Score at last nights X Games by investing in one of these equally incredible Beardski Ski Masks. Yes, the bandana facemask look is cool and all, but it’s been done forever. Why not stand out on the hill a little? Made of insulated neoprene, woven thermal fleece and a “stylish” 12″ synthetic beard, this universal one-size-fits-all design securely holds the mask in place and is easy to wear/remove while covering the ears, face and neck from the harshest of elements. Certainly easier than growing the real thing, plus you won’t have to worry about the pain of getting chunks of gnar pow getting stuck in it.
