Buffalo Fashion Week was another fabulous time on Thursday, as some of the cities most fashionable people flocked to the Statler Hotel for the Main Event. The show is always a good time and it’s been great to see it get more popular every year.
Below I’ve compiled 4 of my favorite looks from each show I attended. Newcomer Rock N Roll People from Copenhagen provided a fresh take on street-wear, while Maria Allen showcased some wild, fun and outright gorgeous creations.
It was nice to see some more gentlemanly focused vendors at the show, with custom suit and hat makers in attendance to keep Buffalonians looking their Dandy best.
After a brief intermission, some networking and taking time to shoot some of the shows dapper attendees, it was time to head into the main ballroom for the final runway event. It was no surprise that Buffalo native Jimmy Lee was a crowd favorite. His clothes had a lot of great depth and fabric combinations, while looking elegant and wearable.
Marc/Ella provided some very nice neutral basics, as well as some great outerwear with everything looking incredibly tailored. This too was a nice change of pace from what you usually see at shows, showcasing a more preppy take on street-wear which I really enjoyed.
HVS rounded out the main runway show with some flowy, bright prints, skins and metallics. Not really the most inspiring of finales, but they must have been trying to entice people with the swimsuit show downstairs at Rendezvous Nightclub.
It may have been because the crowd had a few drinks in them, or it was late, or there were just a lot of half naked models walking down the runway, but the swimsuit show was definitely a crowd pleaser and a fantastic end to the evening…
